Having founded Onyx Asset Advisors, LLC in 2016, Mr. Otus oversees the overall operations of the firm. His responsibilities include sourcing, structuring and implementing all investments and disposition strategies in the monetization of under performing and excess assets across a broad spectrum of industries. He has over 30 years of expertise in the disposition, advisory and valuation industry.

Responsible for sourcing and evaluating opportunities for Gordon Brothers Group’s Commercial & Industrial, Retail, Real Estate and Valuation practice groups. Worked directly with clients in developing and implementing strategies to monetize underperforming and excess assets across a broad spectrum of industries.
Emerald Technology Valuations, LLC
Founder and President (Aug. 1997 – Dec. 2012)
Responsible for the day-to-day management of one of the industry’s only technology focused disposition and valuation firms. Additional duties included project coordination, contract negotiations and strategic alliance formation. The firm was acquired by Gordon Brothers Group in January 2013.
Dovetech, Inc.
President (Aug. 1990 – Jul. 1997)
Served as President of Dovetech, Inc. (currently known as GoIndustry-DoveBid Valuations Services) overseeing the day-to-day management of the company. Previous positions held at Dovetech, Inc. included Director of Valuation Services and Senior Appraiser.
